Caroline Temlock Teichman is a photographer, based in Stamford, CT.  After obtaining an EdD in Education Administration from Fordham University, and while enjoying a full career in public education, and public policy in government, Caroline turned to photography with an interest in visually capturing the simple, but rich and alluring pleasures of the moment.

“In my photography, I enjoy capturing simple, often everyday images, which evoke emotion. My interest is in composition, particularly as it relates to shape and color. Often my photographs are absent of people. The hope is that the viewers will place themselves in, or otherwise interact with, the picture. My photographic style tends to be reactive, capturing a moment or image as it presents itself, without rehearsal. My greatest reward as a photographer is to capture an image that reflects the sensibilities and spirit of the moment, and relay that to the viewer.”

Caroline has taken photography classes at The New School and International Center for Photography in New York City. In the summer of 2016, she studied with Rose Eichenbaum at Jacob’s Pillow, MA. Caroline enjoys traveling; currently, her photographs reflect experiences in the United States, Canada, Central America, Iceland, Europe, and the Middle East.

Caroline’s works have been exhibited at the Flynn Gallery and the Bendheim Gallery in Greenwich, the University of Connecticut Stamford Art Gallery, the Stamford Art Association Gallery, the Ferguson Library in Stamford, The Carriage Barn in New Canaan, and at the Rowayton Art Center. She was selected to participate in the New Canaan Society for the Arts’  Art in the Window in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019. Her photograph And The Seasons They Go Round and Round won first prize in the 2020 Stamford Art Association exhibit Winter Wonderland.

Caroline had solo exhibits at the Hudson City Bank in Cos Cob; the Sound Beach Grill in Old Greenwich; in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 ARTWALKs in Stamford; in 2015 her solo exhibit Nature’s Harmony was featured at the Bartlett Arboretum Silver Educational Center; in 2017 and 2019 in Child Guidance Center in Stamford; in 2015 and 2018-2020 in Children’s Learning Centers (CLC) in Stamford; and in 2018 -2020 in the Stamford JCC Gallery and Board Room.
